Crossroads Cup Schedule

Captains, please decide which uniforms you want the team to wear and inform them at practice. Also, be aware of the location of the fields for the first game. Our first game is at the O'Hearn Matthews Soccer Complex. we played there last year. Here are the directions (about a mile from the main complex):

From I-49 take exit 90 and go across railway crossing to lights. Go straight across lights onto Air Base Road and follow until Vandenburg Drive. Turn Left on Vandenburg (Aircraft display on right) and carry straight on until Stop Sign. Turn Right at Stop Sign onto Bayou Rapides Road and Entrance to O'Hearn Matthew's Soccer Complex is on the Left just past the Renaissance Home.

We are playing up against some U15 teams so that should provide us with plenty of tough competition preparing us for State.

Red Stick Tournament Schedule

Here is the schedule for the Red Stick Tournament.

We will be focusing on the areas we have practiced on. Don't forget that practice is located in the girls gym at Acadiana High School this week.

No Practice on Monday 3/1/10

Parents please make sure the player read this

Players,

Because you worked so hard and gave your full effort, let's take tomorrow off and rest up. We will resume practice on Thursday 6:30 @ youth park.

I saw a lot of heart in the final game but we still need to work on how we play our positions and how we are working as a unit along with fitness. Stick with it as it will get easier the more we work it out AS A TEAM. It will come, I promise. Have patience at this point of the process with each other and us coaches, ask a lot of questions and work really hard. As for fitness we will incorporate more of that but if you aren't doing something on your own, you will feel it on the field as you did today. Keep working at it for the season!

Don't forget that we are working for a bigger prize of a state championship than even winning any tournament........though that is nice as well :).

All players need to be at the field NO LATER THAN 7:45 A.M. on field 5 for Saturday's game. Wear the blue uniform with blue socks. We will talk more tonight at practice. If you need directions, click on the practice time entry (or whatever event, they all contain information about the specific event) on the blog calendar and it will bring up all the details for that practice along with a google map showing the location.

Saturday Practice Reminder

We will have practice on Saturday 2/13/10 from 10:30-12 at Comeaux High School. Please send me an email if you will not be there.

Our first practice will be held on Saturday at Comeaux High School @10:30 - noon. If you have not already let me know if you will be there, please send me an e-mail. I will begin using the blog again so you can check the calendar there or look for any last minute changes (like weather). The blog will be our method of communication along with the team voice mail system.
